The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees has appointed Belia Martinez as trustee. Martinez has previously served as an account manager for Consolidated Freight Way, project manager for Verizon, information recruiter for Source EDP, and real estate agent for Windermere. She also served on school site council committees, parent teacher association boards, and as a parent center coordinator.

Danielle Boyd Heard was recently appointed as the top administrator at Nashoba Brooks School in Concord. Heard was named head of the school following a nationwide search, with the unanimous recommendation of the search committee and unanimous approval by the board of trustees. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Williams College and a master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Heard was a Klingenstein fellow at Columbia University Teachers College and completed the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School.
