LAN and Router-Enabled Emergency Phone

Talk-A-Phone Co. introduces the VOIP–500 series Emergency Phones, which enable direct connection to existing routers and LAN infrastructure. The new unit is a physical replacement of a Talk-A-Phone 400 series analog phone. Many custom faceplate sizes are available, allowing other manufacturers’ analog phones to be easily upgraded to the series.

The phone’s built-in Layer 2 switch allows other IP devices to be connected directly into the VOIP–500 series phone. The series can also be paged at high volume with WEBS Contact mass notification software, allowing users to issue targeted alerts to any segment of a facility, according to the company. The software automatically tests and verifies connectivity of VOIP–500 series phones and sends email alerts on failure detection.
