High-Performance Cladding System
Outsulation X by Dryvit is a high-performance, air- and water-resistive exterior cladding system that yields a 39 percent greater energy efficiency and 36 percent better impact resistance when compared with similar expanded polystyrene-based systems. Outsulation X provides architects with a single-source solution for the air- and water-resistive barrier, exterior continuous insulation (CI) and finished appearance of the exterior wall. It incorporates 2 inches of Dow Xnergy rigid insulation and is suitable for both new construction and renovation projects. The product also meets both current and proposed American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) design standards, as well as International Green Construction Code (IGCC) and International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) requirements for the use of exterior continuous insulation. General contractors also will appreciate that a single, professional sub-contractor can install this engineered, fully tested, code-compliant system.
