Ceiling Panels

Mapes Industries has developed new panels with improved impact resistance for use in curtain wall, entrances and window applications, ideal for schools. The panels can be used to reduce glass area and replace it with high-impact glazing materials to improve energy efficiency and reduces breakage costs, according to the company. Designed to resist breaking or shattering, the panels provide LEED design points for any new or retrofit application. Panels can be factory- or field-cut for maximum flexibility. Made with R-values up to 27.79, MapeShield panels can be used in any framing system. The finish of the panels can match any architectural finish including porcelain, Kynar, anodized and baked enamel, in both standard and custom colors.
