Doug James

WDG Architecture of Washington has promoted Doug James, AIA, to associate principal. James serves as a project manager for design projects ranging from federal government headquarters to student housing, and offers experience that encompasses all phases of project delivery from initial concept design and programming through construction administration and final delivery. As a senior project architect, James is also a leader in WDG’s quality control and technical detailing group. He is currently working with The George Washington University in Washington to rehab a hotel into graduate and faculty housing. James started with WDG as an intern while studying at Catholic University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture, and joined WDG in 1995.
