Amale Andraos

Amale Andraos has been named the new dean of the Graduate School of Architect, Preservation and Planning at Columbia University in New York, where she has been a faculty member for the past three years. Andraos has also taught at Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania and American University in her native Beirut. She is a co-founder the New York-based design firm WorkAC, and serves on the board of the Architectural League of New York, the advisory board of the Arab Center for Architecture in Beirut and is a member of the faculty steering committee for the Columbia Global Centers – Middle East. Andraos received her master’s degree from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and her Bachelor of Architecture from McGill University in Montreal.
