Ronald Benson

Ronald Benson, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, has been appointed as the new senior associate for HGA Architects and Engineers. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles office, Benson is a licensed senior project manager with more than 25 years of international and domestic experience. In his new role, he will be working on several high-caliber projects for both the education and healthcare industries, including the “net-zero-plus energy” project at College of the Desert’s new West Valley Campus in Palm Springs, Calif.

Before joining HGA, Benson was a senior associate for Perkins+Will in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for client relations and project management primarily on large international projects like the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Benson was instrumental in a number of other projects, including the Loker Student Union expansion at California State University, Dominguez Hills and the Price Center Student Union Expansion at the University of California, San Diego.

Benson has a Master of Architecture degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects and a past chairman of the AIA/LA Professional Practice Committee.
