Rick Tavelli

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. has named Rick Tavelli the director of client services for the McCarthy division base in Albuquerque. With nearly four decades of experience in the construction industry in New Mexico, Tavelli has worked on various projects including schools, office buildings, as well as medical facilities. He spent 31 years with a New Mexico-based construction company, where he oversaw the construction of several projects, including the Isotopes Stadium, Albuquerque Aquarium and Botanic Gardens, and the Genoveva Chavez Community Center in Santa Fe. Tavelli also served as construction manager for the College of Santa Fe and as a conceptual estimator and constructability consultant for several Albuquerque design firms. He earned a bachelor’s degree of University Studies with a major in architecture from the University of New Mexico. Additionally, Tavelli served on the Ronald McDonald House Building Committee, the Albuquerque Green Build Task Force, the New Mexico Heritage Preservation Alliance, and the Samaritan Counseling Center Board of Directors.
